Life in the wastelands of the Fallout series is generally pretty interesting, with near endless radioactive adventures to go on, plenty of quirky NPCs and robots to talk to, plus the occasional terrifying encounter all awaiting whichever post-apocalyptic protagonist you’re playing as.

That said, sometimes you might find yourself longing for a bit of a change to spice things up and mods can usually scratch that itch.

This is especially true in the case of Fallout New Vegas, with modders having added ‘The Crash Man’, an army of Easy Petes, YouTuber Jake Paul, and now the ability to feed animals into the game.

Get ready to use up your food supplies in a hurry

The mod in question is called ‘Feed Malnourished Livestock’ and is the work of modders Avolnall and Loganator4551, whose previous work has made Malcolm Holmes suffer and made the game sound brand new respectively.

This time, they’ve decided to give the courier the means to be a better person, having been inspired by existing mods like Kentington’s ‘Free the Slaves’ and void_gazer’s ‘Decrucifixion’, both which are aimed at would-be do-gooders.

With the mod installed, you’ll be able to provide a tasty craftable treat to any hungry-looking Brahmin or Bighorners that you happen across in your travels, helping boost your social standing among the farming community and raise your karma towards the positive end of the scale.

In order to reap these rewards, you’ll first need to head to a campfire and prepare some Brahmin or Bighorner Feed, which don’t have any material requirements.

Then, you’ll want to approach your animal of choice and initiate a casual conversation with them.

At this point, you’ll be faced with the choice of giving them a small, moderate or large meal, though you might not have all three choices available if you don’t have enough food on your person.

If the rush the sound of their contented chewing gives you is large enough, you might also want to consider giving Masternetra’s ‘Farming Bob NV - Reborn’ a try, in order to complete your transformation into the Mojave’s top agricultural enthusiast.
