While Fallout 4 is constantly receiving new mods that bring fresh weapons, quests and even enemies to The Commonwealth, sometimes you can’t beat delving back into Fallout New Vegas.

After all, with revised faction missions to head out on, revamped locations to explore and possibly an alien invasion to fight off, the Mojave has plenty to keep you entertained while you wait for Starfield or Fallout London to finally arrive.

If you’re someone whose load order regularly reaches obscene lengths as a result of being unable to resist grabbing whatever interesting new toys hit the Nexus without getting rid of older plugins, a recently released mod might be worth taking a look at.

Feel like fighting with your Fallout New Vegas mods in a slightly different manner than usual?

The mod in question is called ‘Fight Your Mod List’ and is the work of modder hman101. Some of their previous projects have brought Skyrim-style weapon displays to the wasteland and allowed you to claim various locations around the map on behalf of your chosen faction.

This time, they’ve decided to do something a bit more meta, creating a mod which will seemingly spawn a bunch of enemies named after the contents of your current load order into the game, allowing you to enjoy the surreal sensation of punching, shooting or blowing to bits the downloads that have doubtless caused you plenty of headaches over the years.

That said, you might have to do a bit of preparation and head off on a hike before being able to get your hands on these pesky plugin-based NPCs, as they’ll be added to random locations across the Mojave by default and given whatever gear loadouts the universe deems appropriate.

The latter might prove a bit of a problem if you decide to pursue the plugins immediately after starting a new playthrough and don’t have the skills or resources to avoid getting obliterated by a character named HonestHearts.esm or deadmoneydeanhairrestored.esp that’s been armed with an Anti-Materiel Rifle, some explosive rounds, and a bit of an attitude.

So, you might be better off delivering into the mod’s config file and setting up one location as a specially-designated “arena” location, at which all of the NPCs will automatically spawn, ensuring you can avoid them until you’re absolutely ready for the fight of your life.

Before you do that though, you’ll first have to make sure the New Vegas Script Extender, jazzisparis’ ‘JIP LN NVSE Plugin’ and carxt’s ‘JohnnyGuitar NVSE’ are all already sitting in your load order, primed and ready to try to fill your bottom with lead.

Regardless of whether you’re now getting pounded into a pulp by a gang of rogue mods who’re finally free to deploy their fists directly into yourface.exe, make sure to follow us for more updates on interesting mods like this one for Skyrim and Cyberpunk 2077.
