While Fallout 4 is constantly receiving new mods that bring interesting things like fresh power armour, useful plant life and even terrifying mechanised troops to The Commonwealth, sometimes you can’t beat delving back into New Vegas.

After all, with casino bosses to catch, rockets to spot and alien invasions to fight off, the Mojave has plenty to keep you entertained while you wait for Starfield or Skyblivion to finally arrive.

However, if you’re not in the mood for action and just want to relax, a bunch of new mods, which all share the same classic New Vegas mod as an ancestor, might be worth adding to your load order.

Feel like the Mojave wasteland needs a little bit more light entertainment?

The first of the mods in question is called ‘Working Television and Holotape Player’ and is the work of modder Razorwire. They’ve got plenty of experience entertaining the post-apocalyptic masses, having worked on the massively popular ‘Videos of the Wasteland’ for Fallout 4.

This time, they’ve decided to bring a classic mod of theirs, ‘RPG - Razorwires Portable Gadgets’, which has been absent from Nexus Mods for a good while, back in the form of a number of standalone works featuring each of the various gadgets.

As such, grabbing the TV-centric mod will give you the chance to buy your own set, along with a holotape player and some holotapes, from one of five vanilla merchants located in various places around the map.

Once you’ve got all of these in your inventory, you’ll be able to place your new Television down on any suitable flat surface, hook up a holotape player and a fission battery to it, then shove in a holotape of your choice and give it a watch.

On the other hand, if you’re someone who prefers the audietory to the visual, you can grab a second mod, ‘Working Gramophone and Vinyl Records’, which gives you the chance to acquire a gramophone and vinyl collection from the same vendors and set it up to listen to some killer retro tunes.

For those who’re more interested in learning about lore than indulging in pop culture, there’s also ‘Readable Books’, which adds several purchasable Brotherhood of Steel-themed tomes with moving pages to the inventory of Hidden Valley’s Senior Scribe Schuler.
