Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is about to get one of its most anticipated DLC characters. SNK has released the trailer for Street Fighter 6’s Ken Masters, showing what this Capcom legend can do in this game. This game has received a lot of love thus far, and fans can’t wait to see how the character plays when he releases this Summer.
As teased by the initial DLC trailer, Ken will be in his Street Fighter 6 attire, renewing his rivalry with Terry from Capcom’s acclaimed fighter. While his beard isn’t rendered that well, Ken does look solid in this game, and his fighting skills look really fun to use. The trailer confirms that he has story cutscenes and can be used in the RPG-like EOST mode.
What really got everyone’s attention is how Ken is going to get his classic costume in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. This is shocking because most of that game’s characters don’t have their classic outfits, not even Mai Shiranui. He still looks a bit odd compared to Street Fighter 6, but it’s a decent improvement over his base outfit.
The best part about this DLC is that it will be free, so fans who purchase this game won’t have to pay extra just to use him. Fans also won’t have to pay for the other characters, including other Capcom favorite Chun-Li, making this one of the more consumer-friendly fighters out there. It’s a shame that there’s no proper release date yet, as fans are chomping at the bit to use Ken.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves was received pretty well at launch, though it hasn’t made the same impact as something like Street Fighter 6. Most fans do seem to prefer it over Tekken 8, which continues to gain more hate every day, so SNK’s game is in a neat second place. Some of those odd celebrity cameos aren’t great, but fans should consider picking this up.
