Fortnite has become a paradise for anime fans with constant crossovers that have seen franchises such as Dragon Ball, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and Naruto join the battle royale. Now rumours have surfaced about another potential iconic show making its debut - One Piece.
In what's basically become a matter of when not if, Luffy could be the next anime icon to hit the griddy and crank 90s, at least according to XboxEra.
The co-founder of XboxEra, who has previously correctly leaked recent Fortnite collaborations like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, gave several upcoming crossovers, with One Piece topping the list as one of the most interesting and exciting.
No actual details about any of the collaborations, such as which characters could show up or release dates, were given. The list also includes names such as Peacemaker, The Fantastic Four, and Final Fantasy, meaning this leak could potentially be the entire roadmap of crossovers for the year, and even beyond.
It'll be interesting to see how Fortnite implements One Piece cosmetics into the game once the collaboration is confirmed. They've done seasons themed around certain shows, such as Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen. However, the likes of Naruto and Dragon Ball showed up as mid-season events.
If it's the former, expect unique skins to be acquired via Fortnite's battle pass or some other timed method, making them more exclusive than normal. JJK fans who missed the Yuji Itadori skin might be waiting for years to see him hit the Fortnite item shop, if at all.
As for which One Piece characters could show up, Luffy is definitely a lock. Based on popularity, the likes of Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Nico Robin are strong candidates as well.
That's all we know about the leaked One Piece Fortnite crossover. While we wait for more information, check out the full Cowabunga quests that can reward you with a TMNT Shredder skin.
