While some GTA 5 players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer.
One way to do just that is to dive into the interesting world of single-player mods, which can fill the game with everything from Baywatch-inspired missions to Yakuza Zero-style disco dancing and even cars that won’t disappear whenever you turn your back.
If you’re one of those frustrated with the current state of GTA Online, but are struggling to properly break your routine of logging into it every day to grind missions and earn more ill-gotten gains, a new mod might be worth taking a look at.
Fancy getting a taste of GTA Online while remaining offline?
The mod in question is called ‘CruelMaster's Online - Offline’ and, naturally, is the work of modder CruelMasterMC. Some of their previous modding work has brought The Cayo Perico Heist’s Kosatka submarine to story mode and given you the chance to start a business with the GTA version of The Grinch.
This time, they’ve decided to take on the gargantuan task of trying to recreate the GTA Online experience offline for the second time, having seemingly been left unsatisfied with their previous attempt to do so.
While the new mod is still very much a work-in-progress, there already look to be some interesting elements for you to dig into, including the character creator, working clothing stores where you can save outfits and a custom heist mission, the latter of which you can complete with AI friends instead of fellow players.
On the other hand, features like being able to buy personal vehicles and items connected to the DLCs and expansions that have arrived since the base game’s release are still to be added, likely making the experience a bit similar to the very early days of GTA Online.
If you’re interested in giving the mod a go in its current state, you’ll first need to grab GTA 5’s script hook and crosire’s ‘Community Script Hook V .NET’, as well as make sure that your game is updated to the latest version.
Regardless of whether you’re now re-living your glory days of pulling odd jobs in the hopes of affording a chrome wrap for your Adder, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
