While some GTA 5 players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by getting up to wacky hijinks and getting their hands on the last of the items that they don’t already own.

After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what it should include, and have given up agonising over how you’ll earn back your current fortune if the new game includes tax mechanics, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?

In the case of some GTA players, this enjoyment is coming from a spot of hardcore roleplaying or gnarly stuntage, but for others, it seems that new ways to explore San Andreas and appreciate its natural beauty are on the menu, with a new mod possibly delivering in that regard.

Are you looking for a rather supernatural way to go sightseeing in San Andreas?

The mod in question is simply called ‘Walk on Water’ and is the work of modder HKH191, whose previous work has given players access to all of the interiors of the game’s buildings and brought working versions of GTA Online exclusive vehicles to single-player.

This time they’ve gone to a (literally) biblical effort to give players a fresh means of exploring the areas of GTA 5’s map covered by water, by creating a script which allows the player to walk across the surface of oceans and lakes in true Messiah style.

So, now you can take in the sights and sounds of Los Santos and Blaine Country from some vantage points that would previously have required getting your hands on a boat or bringing along a towel, which sounds pretty ideal if you fancy grabbing some picturesque screenshots to remember GTA 5 by once GTA 6 finally comes out.

If you’re really into roleplaying or are a fan of GTA speedrunner DarkViperAU, you could also use one of the many native trainer mods available for the game to change your character’s skin to that of the Jesus impersonator that you can find on the Del Perro boardwalk.

Naturally, this is entirely optional, with grabbing a railgun and finding an innocent Australian to harass being equally non-compulsory.

Regardless of whether you’re planning to spend the run-up to GTA 6 taking nice photos or using your newly-acquired powers for more sinister purposes, make sure to follow us for more GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
