While many GTA players are just trying to enjoy their remaining time in Los Santos by filling up their 50-car garages with exotic automobiles or working their way through Last Dose missions, some are already looking forward to GTA 6.
After all, aren’t you curious to see how Rockstar’s next game might incorporate mechanics and characters from other titles, re-create Miami’s real-world nightlife or manage to feel more ambitious than Starfield?
Though all of this likely won’t be known until the game finally arrives, one prospective player has decided to take it upon themselves to come up with an in-depth story pitch for the upcoming title’s online component, which would see GTA Online’s protagonist continue their reign of terror.
Do you want to carry on playing as your character from GTA Online in GTA 6?
The interesting idea of this fan, user MrManface22000088, forms the subject of a recent thread on the GTA 6 subreddit, which they kicked off via a lengthy post which began with them indicating that what they were about to outline was a concept for how GTA Online story could continue in Vice City.
Beginning with the GTA Online protagonist, whom MrManface22000088 affectionately dubs “Bob” having to flee Los Santos after facing off against a massive force made up of enemies from existing DLCs, an idea which has previously featured in player pitches for GTA Online’s finale, this story would see them fly out to Vice City.
From this point, the former LS kingpin would work to regain their power in this new location, with some help from characters included in GTA 6’s main story, before eventually recruiting the game’s Bonnie and Clyde-inspired protagonists to help them return to Los Santos and defeat the forces who sent them packing.
Following a hard-earned victory in this confrontation, MrManface22000088 also suggested the GTA Online protagonist could also make their way to Liberty City afterwards, in order to: “continue (their) journey of taking over basically all of GTA's world.”
Sadly for MrManface22000088, this idea didn’t go down too well with their fellow criminals, with user bulletinhisdome saying: “I’d rather have a clean slate. I (don’t know) why people are so set on having GTA 5 Online being tied into 6.” and Mebeingnosy adding: “The only update I’d want to see about my online character is that they were killed in a police standoff.”
Regardless of whether you’re hoping that at some point in GTA 6 you’ll hear rumours of somebody making moves in Los Santos having mysteriously gone quiet, make sure to follow us for GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
