Breakdown
- Another GTA 6 has surfaced online but the images in question are blurry and low res.
- The leaks reveal three key things: 40-hours, J&L, and Thunderstorms.
- There's a lot of ongoing speculation as to the meaning of each of these terms.
GTA 6 continues to face leaks, and this time it's regarding the hours of gameplay content and new weather dynamics.
The leaks emerged from user @GTAVIGossip in the form of a screenshot allegedly coming from a Rockstar North Games Tools Programmer. While the screenshot is blurry and difficult to read, attempts to decipher it hint at 40 hours of content and some thunderstorms.
After gameplay leaks earlier, this leak contains a mention of 40 hours of “J&L”. Fans believe that the initials most likely refer to Jason and Lucia, who were revealed to be the two main characters of the game, in the teaser trailer.
Upscaled versions of the same screenshot also revealed a mention of thunderstorms which caught the attention of many. The game is set in a fictional version of Miami, Florida called Vice City. With Florida being famous for thunderstorms, the addition of a new weather dynamic has generated much interest with regards to the attention to detail being presented.
With many jumping on the hype train, a lot of fans are cautious about reading too much into these leaks or considering them genuine in the first place.
The original poster of the leak recently made a correction saying 40 hours of “J&L” could just refer to the time for bug testing instead. Others have greatly discussed the implications of NPC behaviour based on temperature and weather changes as the leaks don’t provide much information.
However, a sense of optimism can be found in the community as anticipation builds day by day for the game. Even with rumours of possible delays the hype only continues to build, with much help from leaks both fake and real.
The much anticipated Rockstar title has been making the news a lot lately, with its employees being asked to work from offices again and the game's delay tanking stocks.
