While many GTA players are just trying to enjoy their remaining time in Los Santos by spending all of their hard-earned cash, becoming a lifeguard, or hanging out with Jimmy De Santa, some are already looking forward to GTA 6.
After all, aren’t you curious what the next game’s map will look like, whether it’ll include some of The Weeknd’s biggest hits or what’ll be the ideal strategy for your first playthrough?
While all of this likely won’t be known until the game finally arrives, some players are still thinking about what features they’d like to see in it might look, with their current discussion centring around how Rockstar might approach satirising streaming services like Netflix.
Which of these shows would you like to watch in GTA 6?
This conversation forms the subject of a recent thread on the GTA 6 subreddit, which began with a post from user ChurchofGTA, who kicked things of by posting a fan-made mockup of what the menu screen of such a service could look like and asking: “Do you think GTA VI will have a streaming service instead of TV and movies? What would you want to see on it?”
Their fellow criminals were quick to provide some pitches for shows they’d like to see, with user TheSasquatchTimes suggesting: “I think a satirical Vice-style documentary would be pretty funny. Have them cover the drug trade in Vice City, where they give us an inside look on one of the biggest drug distributors that turns out to secretly be (some kind of cult).”
Others hoped the service might include fresh episodes of some established GTA universe shows, with Gnemec3 saying: “If it doesn’t have Republican Space Rangers, I don’t want it.” and The_EMT going even further by declaring: “Nah dude, I better see more Impotent Rage, or I’m boycotting the game…”
User emomodechester reasoned: “I'd imagine they would poke fun at how practically every film studio has a different streaming service. Like quite literally (having) one for Republican Space Rangers, another for Impotent Rage, another for Princess Robot BubbleGum, etcetera.”
Meanwhile, user TristMurphy voiced their support for a show paying homage to the last GTA protagonist to don a Hawaiian shirt and head for the sunny climes of the American southeast, saying: “Harwood Butcher: The documentary of Tommy Vercetti would be amazing.”
Regardless of whether you’re planning to plop down on the couch and refuse to do any crimes once GTA 6 arrives, make sure to follow us for more GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
