While some GTA players are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by getting up to wacky hijinks and spending all of their hard-earned cash, others are already looking forward to GTA 6.
For some, this has involved trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, coming up with potential ideas for its soundtrack or intensely debating whether the game’s first trailer will be released this month.
The latest suggestion that’s arrived on some fans’ feature lists is a social hub similar to Red Dead Redemption 2’s gang camp, allowing players to get immersed in the minutiae of Vice City life.
Do you think GTA 6 needs more places for characters to gather and have a good time?
This idea is the subject of a recent thread on the GTA 6 subreddit, which began with a post from user Euphony666, who revealed that they spent a lot of time chilling with Dutch’s crew and outlined their idea for how its atmosphere could be transplanted in GTA 6, saying: “I can picture a local bar with all your friends and associates, (whom) you can see coming and going in the afternoons, offering side activities and great bits of dialogue.”
Some of their fellow players agreed that a traditional campsite wouldn’t really fit with the atmosphere of the GTA series and had a go at suggesting other locations that might work as hang-outs, with user Sam_and_Linny nominating a simple safe-house and GreyHexagon saying: “If you're part of or get in with a gang then I could imagine a Grove Street style area where other named gang members hang out.”
Meanwhile, user bagavadskeeter recommended a motel room, implying that this would definitely fit as a starter home if the game features two playable characters who live together.
However, other players weren’t as sure this particular RDR2 feature would be a worthwhile addition, with user RoR3i saying: “I don't think this would translate well in a modern setting, but GTA 6 should definitely offer more social activities with other characters.”
Meanwhile user khozyy was seemingly down with the idea as long as it didn’t interfere with their need for speed, saying: “As long as they don’t force you to walk slowly I’m all for it.”
Regardless of whether you’ve made your GTA characters feel like they’re marathon runners, make sure to follow us for more GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
