Since its release all the way back in 2013, GTA Online has popped up on a lot of different platforms, with multiple generations of Playstation and Xbox hosting players grinding away while waiting for GTA 6 to arrive.
With the first signs that this wait may be coming to a close at some point in the next few years, it seems some players have taken a break from buying all of the new content introduced by the recent Criminal Enterprises update to reflect on their years spent in Los Santos.
One in particular has taken to Reddit to showcase how the long toil in San Andreas has affected their character, whose appearance has gradually changed to reflect a change in age with each new console generation.

The thread concerning this in the GTA Online subreddit began with a post from user Hydro07, who shared an image showing this evolution from a fresh-faced wannabe into washed-up has-been, captioning it: “Been using the same character for almost nine years now. With each generation change I made him look a little bit older.”
A number of users attempted to gauge how the character’s story arc had evolved during this period, with ArpenteReves saying: “dude looks like he was full of hopes and dreams, became rich, and then fell into alcoholism” and BlueFalconATW offering a more specific theory by suggesting: “this is a military veteran (going) from enlistment, to 2 ex-wives (one being a stripper) to crippling debt, alimony, and child support on 3 kids.”
On the other hand, user ilHellaFuego saw a slightly different progression in progress, saying: “dude is just getting (more) depressed with each generation”, leading Background_Refuse751 to abandon the use of subtext by responding: “just like GTA players.”
Other users thought that the character was slowly turning into GTA V’s protagonists, with baphosam suggesting: “dude looks like he grew up to be Trevor and Michael in one” and Crazy_Croc117 taking Mr De Santa out of the equation by theorising: “you're slowly turning him into Trevor.”
Meanwhile, a small commotion emerged surrounding the character’s luscious locks, begging with user _SBV_ simply commenting: “hairline”, leading Hydro07 to reply: “is clapped”.
This important exchange was followed by a heartwarming discussion between several GTA players whose hairlines began to recede at a young age, with a number of tactic for being more comfortable with male pattern baldness being outlined by these follicly challenged criminal masterminds.
Regardless of how your hairline is faring, make sure to follow us for more GTA Online and GTA 6 updates as new content arrives.
