While some GTA Online players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by nailing sick stunts or spending all of their hard-earned cash.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what or who it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
However, the ability of some players to do so seems to be waning a little with the reception to some possible GTA+ additions and, more surprisingly, Rockstar’s latest heist challenge, being a little lukewarm.
What do you think the GTA Online heist challenge’s special reward will be?
The latter is the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from user Anshul086, who shared a screenshot of Rockstar’s newswire post announcing the challenge, which calls on players to earn a collective two trillion dollars from heists this week in order to “unlock a special reward coming later this year” and asked: “Anyone doing the challenge?”
Some of their fellow players replied that they would be doing so, though they had varying degrees of enthusiasm, with user CJ7h3g4m3r saying: “Most of us are unintentionally doing our part…” and DrunkStoleATank joking: “I'll do one heist, then let (the rest of) you bozos do (the remainder of) the work.”
Others questioned whether the reward being offered would be worth their time, with user Mark_627 saying: “Ah yes, the community challenge, the (last one) gave us the Dinka Veto (classic), the (worst) go-kart, (given) the cooler (modern version) is also available, but you have to pay for it.”
Some went so far as to try and predict what it would be this time, with user swedishhotdog saying: “Can't wait to get a T-Shirt as a reward for robbing banks and committing national felonies!” and AgustusGloo adding: “I saw that (we) got go-karts last time. So yeah, probably a year’s supply of Meteorite bars.”
Meanwhile, user AggravatingForce30 suggested: “I wish there was some way to keep up with how much we’ve made for this challenge.”, prompting fdogg4842 to respond: “I’m sure it would be a crazy number to watch increase every second. Think about the amount of heists being run on old and new gen Playstations and Xboxes, plus PC.”
