While some GTA players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
While some players have been doing so by hosting demolition derbies, cosplaying as LA Noire characters, or trying to convince each other to move closer to the beach, others have been declaring their desire to venture into the second-hand car market more often going forwards.
Are you desperate to diversify the contents of your GTA Online garage?
Their motor-based musings form the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from user Cerberus-276, who kicked things off by sharing a fan-made image based around the idea of a Blaine County-themed update that would contain plenty of rusty relics and saying: “(I’m) hoping (we) get more low-end vehicles in the near future.”
A number of fellow players shared their hunger to cruise the streets of San Andreas in a freshly bought jalopy, with user PiratePillow declaring: “I'm starting to get sick of the hundreds of high-end supercars and sport cars that function almost identically to each other. Seeing vehicles like these (more often) would be dope!” and chucchinchilla revealing: “Recently I’ve spent more time in a purposely (run-down) looking Greenwood than I have any of my super cars. (It) just makes it more interesting.”
Meanwhile, One-Mycologist-6001 lamented: “(One of the cars in your image) is my beloved (Willard) Marbelle from GTA IV, I would do anything to get that thing into Online…”, prompting Thrasher9294 to add: “If we could finally get the Marbelle, the Esperanto, the Uranus, and the proper Rancher, I’d never drive anything else.”
On the other hand, user Sosemikreativ suggested improving the beaten-up bangers already backfiring their way around Los Santos might be a better idea, saying: “More important than adding new low-end cars with proper modification potential (to the game) would be to adjust the level of customization options (available to) all (of)the OG civilian cars to (match) the modern standard.”
