While some GTA Online players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by getting up to wacky antics and spending all of their hard-earned cash.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what or who it should include, and have given up agonising over how you’ll earn back your current fortune if the new game includes tax mechanics, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
Currently, a lot of players seem to be doing just this by dressing up as the mythical bigfoot and revelling in a range of strange shenanigans.
Have you been seeing a lot of squatches in GTA Online lately?
Their exploits are the subject of a number of threads on the GTA Online subreddit, one of which began with a post from user Pizzatuna, who shared a screenshot of their character teaming the sasquatch outfit, which is currently a free reward in the game, with a horse mask, captioning it: “Bigfoot Horseman isn't real. He can't hurt you.”
Their fellow players were mostly horrified by this combination of mythical creature and Bojack Horseman, with user darthtidiot quipping: “(I’m) probably going to see that in my nightmares.” and another user adding: “Hey Siri, define monstrosity.”
Meanwhile, a different thread showcased a slightly less terrifying pairing of the outfit with headgear, with user citizen-zombie having used a helmet to transform the suit’s headpiece into a massive bushy beard for their character.
A couple of their peers suggested that this could finally be the key to roleplaying as Lord of the Rings character Gimli in the game, while user SpaghettiInc declared: “These are the beards we deserve to have. The beards currently in-game look like (they were drawn on with) sharpies.”
A third thread catered to those who weren't interested in modifying their sasquatch outfits, with user azraeiazman sharing some surreal snaps of them and their friends staging a meeting while dressed in the outfits, captioning them: “Me and the boys planning for world domination.”
User Bluepilgrim3 dubbed this crew “the Illumisquatchie”, while EarthPuma120 mused: “I get a feeling that (a) new war is coming.”
Regardless of whether you’re planning on donning a squatch outfit and getting involved in whatever madness might break out, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
