While some GTA players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
Currently, some are doing just that by taking a break from finding strange ways to save money on their property bills and digging into the brand new taxi work Rockstar has just released, though it seems a lot of them aren’t enjoying the cabby life thus far.
Have you been left frustrated by GTA Online's taxi work?
Their unhappiness forms the subject of a number of recent threads on the GTA Online subreddit, one of which began with a post from user mp380, who simply alerted their fellow players that the taxi was now available for purchase.
The replies saw a number of criminals airing their grievances about the way the vehicle has been implemented into the game, with user Lightning_97 saying: “This made me laugh, why (on Earth) is a taxi, a literal slightly modified normal car, (priced at) $650K and being sold on the same website that sells fighter jets and submarines.” and ottolefleur lamenting: “(I) thought we were gonna be able to modify our taxis.”
Similarly, user DariusPumpkinRex suggested that making the taxi orderable via the Pegasus service rather than storable in players’ garages is an easy way: “to make the GTA Online community completely disinterested in a vehicle in one step!”, with wee_celery adding: “At that point just call a cab and steal it, it's gonna be just as fast and you won't have to go get it.”
Meanwhile, user Lackers92 kicked off another thread by posting their meagre earnings from the taxi work they’ve done so far, declaring: “I know every activity doesn’t need to be as lucrative as Cayo Perico but come on this (is $32K from) nearly an hour of driving…”
In response, user NOTORIOUSMONK3Y suggested: “This would have been a cool option years ago before the heavy inflation, but now it’s just more unnecessary content thrown into the game that could have been in place of something more useful, interesting, up-to-date, and just overall worth taking the hour or so to complete.”
