GTA Online player has wholesome fun doing taxi work with daughter

While some GTA players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.

After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?

Currently, some of those that aren’t boycotting the game due to PC exploits are digging into the taxi work that Rockstar has recently added to it, with one player on Reddit finding that the low pay-out offered by fares doesn’t dampen the experience as much if you’re playing in tandem with a three-year-old.

Their wild ride through Los Santos forms the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from the player in question, who declared: “GTA just gave me the most wholesome moment with my kid.”, going on to reveal that they’d decided to let their young daughter join in on doing some taxi fares with them.

“We spent an hour with her controlling the acceleration and me the direction.” they said, adding: “We totalled like five taxis, but it was hilarious.”

A number of their fellow criminals responded by sharing similar tales of giving young relatives a tiny taste of the GTA experience, with user Dutton90 musing: “I used to love showing my nephew how to drive when they release vice city on the Ipad, it was all fun and games until he started running people over for fun. He wasn't allowed to play after that.”

Meanwhile, user bkiantx recalled: One time my kid saw a dump truck in the game as I played, and suddenly yelled out, ‘Dump truck go in the waaaater!’ I was near the pier, so I said sure thing. That was the beginning. I've spent hours driving almost every vehicle (especially the bulldozer) into the ocean for their amusement. The laughter and joy is so contagious.”

On the other hand, user JonnyxKarate shared their experience of the opposite side of these interactions, saying: “This reminds me (of) when GTA 3 came out and my dad let me play when I’d go to visit at his house. We would spend hours just taking turns trying to get as many stars as possible and then trying to evade the cops. 22 years later and we’re still doing the same thing in GTA V together.”
