It looks like the incredibly flawed GTA Trilogy might be getting those much-needed changes fans have been begging years for. New data has shown that a patch might be on the way for the PC version and fans are hoping it is based on the superior Netflix mobile ports.

Twitter user Ben revealed data that shows an update is coming to the PC version of this controversial trilogy. Considering how this version of the game hasn’t had a patch for a while now, many fans are hoping that this comes with the great changes from Netflix’s ports.

For those unaware, the GTA Trilogy available through Netflix Games is a lot better than the console and PC versions, for some reason. Granted, these are essentially the same games from the PS2 version, but it brings back “classic lighting” from the PS2 games, improved fog, and is less buggy overall.

Considering how the trilogy on consoles and PC is supposed to be the “definitive editions,” it’s clear that the Netflix ports are much better. It’s almost embarrassing when you compare the Netflix mobile ports to the console and PC versions, which are supposed to be better.

We’ll have to wait and see if Rockstar Games and Grove Street Games add these much-needed improvements to the GTA Trilogy, but we can hope. After all, Rockstar did remove the classic versions of these games when they released the trilogy, so fans desperately want these improvements on console and PC.

Many gamers will remember how disappointed they were when the trilogy was re-released on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Considering how these are just improved versions of the PS2 games, many expected these to be decent ports that run well. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t the case, as this collection was riddled with bugs, visual glitches, and a bland visual filter.
