Gundam Evolution is getting a worldwide release later this year, making its way to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The Free-to-Play shooter was announced during last night’s State of Play presentation, which revealed some fan-favourite mobile suits in first-person action.
Prior to the State of Play announcement, Gundam Evolution was already available in Japan so this is the first time the whole world will be able to try it out. While there’s still no release date for the Free-to-Play shooter, there will be a Network Test on PS4 and PS5 this Spring, where the developers will take in fan feedback from players’ experiences.

Gundam Evolution is Coming to Consoles and PC in 2022
There will be three main modes of play in Gundam Evolution. Here’s a breakdown of all three, courtesy of The PlayStation Blog:
- Point Capture: Teams take turns attempting to occupy iterative control points. Players will need to flex all their skills to move to the second point or fiercely hold the line of defence to secure the win.
- Domination: Two teams fight to control three objectives that are unlocked randomly. It’s a wild battle of points on a constantly evolving battlefield.
- Destruction: Teams are divided into the Attacker and Defender roles and battle to destroy or defend their objective. Cooperation is the key to turning the tide of battle in this game of suppression and sabotage.
Gundam Evolution will be coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime this year. Keep a lookout for the Network Test, which will be taking place this Spring.
