Lies of P’s highly anticipated DLC, Overture, may be shadow dropped later today following Summer Game Fest. At least according to a Reddit user who reportedly discovered the trailer hours ahead of its expected reveal.
Reddit user u/115master came across the now-deleted trailer and shared it on the Lies of P subreddit. Unfortunately, only a lucky few saw the post before it was removed. However, some users managed to grab a screenshot of the end screen, which suggests that the Overture DLC is set to drop today.
This marks the second major leak of the day, following a separate GTA 6 content leak allegedly revealed by a credible insider. With Summer Game Fest just hours away, players are already bracing for this rumored shadow drop, assuming the leak holds true.
Lies of P: Overture is the first, and potentially final, story expansion for NeoWiz’s acclaimed soulslike action game. Serving as a prequel, Overture aims to shed light on the game’s deeper lore, much like how the Artorias of the Abyss DLC expanded the Dark Souls Remastered narrative. It could provide answers to lingering questions about the fairy tale-inspired mythos and offer new insight into Krat’s tragic history and its now-corrupted cast of characters.
Who knows? Maybe we might get a teaser for NeoWiz’s next game.
In addition to fresh story content, the Overture DLC will introduce new combat mechanics and weapons. Some fans have even speculated about possible co-op features, though nothing has been confirmed.
Lies of P: Overture is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime this summer, but if the leak is accurate, we could be playing it within hours.
