Given that Minecraft players are primarily known for their non-edible creations, whether these are a futuristic cricket stadium, a re-imagining of a real-world castle or a faithful recreation of GTA Online’s Diamond Casino, you may be surprised to learn that a few of them have some culinary talent.

These square chefs can often be found slaving over a hot oven or Redstone-powered kebab machine, creating quality cuisine that can’t be imitated by just shoving an innocent pig into a pool of lava.

Fortunately for these Minecraft Gordon Ramsays, a new mod has given them some fresh ingredients to play with, as well as an interesting weapon to threaten those who ask when dinner’s going to be ready with.

Get ready to cook and shoot up a tasty storm

The mod in question is called ‘GarliCraft’ by modder TwentyWrong, whose previous work brought a rather crazy creeper experience to the game.

Now, however, they’ve used their modding powers to bring a classic herb to the game in a variety of ways, all of which are pretty delicious.

The first two of these might make good additions to any Minecraft shopping list, with garlic becoming a herb that you find in the wild during your travels and butter becoming the product of cooking any of the game’s milk.

While you can consume each of these ingredients by themselves, you might be better off baking some bread and adding them to it to create garlic bread, the meal of champions and, in the words of the mod’s description: “a really good food source.”

Even if you’re somehow really not a fan of this delicacy, you might want to keep that to yourself if it’s served to you, otherwise the final thing that the mod adds might be pointed in your direction.

This addition is the perfect weapon for any culinary crusader, a shotgun made from garlic bread and iron that apparently packs a pretty spicy punch.

Plus, TwentyWrong suggests in the description that more garlic-based weapons might be added to the mod in future updates, hopefully expanding the pantry when it comes to methods of metering out some delicious justice.

So, remember that next time you give a Minecraft restaurant a bad review and make sure to follow us for more Minecraft mods and Roblox updates as new content arrives in both games.
