Modern Warfare 3 spawns are a major improvement from the beta, at least according to players. Following a rough start pre-release, Sledgehammer Games has massively improved the new CoD’s spawning system.
With Pre-Season now underway, Modern Warfare 3 players are starting the grind towards unlocking the mastery camos attempting to master the spawn logic in a bid to gain an advantage over the opposition
The spawns in Modern Warfare 3 determine where players load back into the action after being eliminated. Depending on the maps and the game modes, the logic used during the early build of Sledgehammer Games' latest release left many worried about the potential of another mediocre Call of Duty title launching.
After testing the system in matches filled with bots, Call of Duty content creator TheXclusiveAce believes the spawns have changed 'quite drastically' from beta to launch.
As expected, those who preferred the spawn logic from older Call of Duty titles are thrilled with the news. One fan says: "That's great news! Can we assume it's more like the classic spawn system then?" TheXclusiveAce replies: "Definitely more like it than the beta spawns but too early to say exactly how everything will perform."
On the other hand, some players are experiencing significant issues with the sticky nature of the spawns. Fellow content creator Nixstah loaded into a match on Quarry and ended up stuck in the middle of a spawn point being used by both teams simultaneously.
Thankfully, some of the maps where spawns are an issue have been temporarily removed so Sledgehammer Games can rectify the problems. While issues of any kind are frustrating, it's great to see the developer acting quickly to create a smooth gameplay experience for everyone wanting to play.
It's unclear when Quarry, Rundown, and Scrapyard will return to the Hardpoint playlist but the developers are actively investigating the bug so it won't be long before those maps are back in the rotation. Aside from a few problems, the improvements to Modern Warfare 3 spawns are already going down a storm.
