Capcom is ready to make 2025 a good year for Monster Hunter fans. With the recent Monster Hunter Wilds Beta making a huge impression on longtime fans of the franchise, Capcom has surprised its loyal fanbase again with its announcement of Monster Hunter Outlanders, coming soon to mobile.
The announcement trailer starts with a TiMi and Capcom logo, which suggests that Tencent is involved in Monster Hunter Outlanders.
The trailer featured a Hunter equipped with the Rathalos armor set and showcased the ferocious Rathian monster seen in the Monster Hunter franchise. It was followed by a short clip of what seems to be a companion player or NPC and a small monkey that appears to have a similar role to Palicoes.
The Monster Hunter Outlanders X account also shared a few more details, including combat and some monsters such as Rathian and Anjanath, as well as the return of the lovely and cunning Palicoes.
While it is confirmed that Outlanders will come to mobile, our team, who are huge fans of the franchise, has started to develop some theories about how Outlanders might relate to the mainline games.
Our senior editor, Alister Kennedy, mentioned that "[Outlanders] better connect to Wilds," considering that Outlanders' visuals and aesthetics resemble those in Monster Hunter Wilds. Kris Alfonte, our social lead, shared that he "hopes [Outlanders] come to the Steam Deck."
I'm sorry, mobile game fans, but playing a fast-paced game like Monster Hunter Outlanders would seem better on the more powerful and stunningly beautiful Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White.
