Monster Hunter Wilds may have gone through a bit of a content drought these past few weeks, but this week’s Event Quest finally gives us something cool to earn: a brand-new scarf.
The latest Event Quest lets players gather materials to craft the Sealed Dragon Cloth, or, as some fans are calling it, the “Mikasa Scarf” from Attack on Titan. Here’s how you can get your hands on the Sealed Dragon Cloth Alpha Headgear in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Join the “Running Wild” Event Quest
The Sealed Dragon Cloth Alpha headgear is only available through the “Running Wild” Event Quest. In this quest, you’ll need to take down a Guardian Fulgur Anjanath. Thankfully, it’s a relatively quick grind. You only need to clear the quest three times to collect the required Sealed Dragon Cloth material.
If luck is on your side, you might even score two cloths in one run, making the process a little less tedious.
There’s no real pressure here either. The quest is only a 5-Star difficulty, unlike the Mizutsune Event, which was an 8-Star hunt capable of one-shotting players. The Guardian Fulgur Anjanath is far more manageable. It does feel like the game has gotten easier as a whole, making it accessible to newer hunters.
Once you’ve crafted your own Attack on Titan-style scarf, you’ll be able to customize its colors however you like. Even better, Dual Blades can let fans live that Attack on Titan fantasy by slicing and dicing large monsters with their insane mobility. Shame we don't have those grappling hook thingies.
Future Events
There are a few other Event Quests live this week in Monster Hunter Wilds, but “Running Wild” stands out thanks to its unique cosmetic reward. Looking ahead, there’s a good chance we’ll see a new collaboration event with Street Fighter 6, possibly by the end of May or early June.
Fans can expect to see some exciting new layered armor and cosmetics based on iconic Street Fighter characters. The collaboration is expected to drop sometime next week or in early June.
As for the much-anticipated Title Update 2, which reintroduces Lagiacrus as a Siege-style boss, we’ll likely have to wait until mid-June or possibly late summer for its release.
