Modders have put an awful lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the years since it was first released into the world.
Many have focused on changing the game by adding everything from completely overhauled quests, cosy player homes and flashy cosmic spells to it, with a few even going as far as making all of its NPCs peaceful or freezing player characters until The Elder Scrolls 6 arrives.
If you’re someone who’s constantly looking for fresh adventures to head out on while you wait for September to roll around so you can play Starfield, a new mod might be worth taking a look at.
Fancy trawling the depths of Skyrim for some sweet blue glass gear?
The mod in question is called ‘Blue Kind’, and is the work of modder Adolon. Some of their previous projects have sent the Dragonborn into some new Dwarven ruins to help out a very angry Dark Elf and had them explore a gold-filled Nordic ruin unearthed by The Thalmor.
This time, they’ve decided to add some extra underground exploration to the province via a series of interconnected dungeons which, despite looking very different as you can see in the trailer below, all seemingly share a thematic connection.
Kicked off by finding a wedding invitation in Markarth and then making your way to Woad Hall manor, which is near Half-Moon Mill, the objectives that link these labyrinths will see you seek out keys and defeat bosses, one of which might be a dragon, to gain access to a massive range of new items and boons.
Among these rewards are the recipes for some mysterious blue glass gear, two fresh followers to add to your troupe and a new weapon with unique enchantment. There are also plenty of cool ingredients and interesting books to hunt down and stuff into your satchel.
Adolon also suggests that they’ve hidden some easter eggs throughout the dungeons, so make sure your eyes aren’t just on the lookout for loot.
Regardless of whether you’re sneaking through a murky ruin hoping not to end up as some cannibal’s dinner, make sure to follow us for more updates on The Elder Scrolls 6 and the interesting world of Skyrim modding.
