Some Forsworn and Thalmor in Skyrim.

Modders have put a lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the eleven years since it was first released into the world.

A lot of these efforts have focused on making the game more immersive, with additions ranging from destination weddings to chatty carriage drivers, as well as getting rid of systems that forbid the player from doing certain things, such as coating their swords with potions.

Now, one modder has decided to give some love to two of the game’s most iconic enemy factions, injecting both the Forsworn and the Thalmor with a range of unique and scenario-specific dialogue.

Have you ever thought encounters with these two Skyrim factions should be more immersive?

The mod in question is called ‘Forsworn and Thalmor Lines Expansion’, and is the work of modder JaySerpa. A lot of their previous work has also been focused on realism, helping to flesh out Skyrim’s civil war encounters, as well as giving its animals swimming lessons.

This time, they’ve decided to add around 250 lines of extra dialogue to both the tribespeople of the Reach and everyone’s favourite Altmer, ensuring that they’ll have more to say both in combat and when idly wandering around, as you can see in the clip below.

While unnamed members of both groups are programmed to be silent outside of combat in the vanilla game, with this mod installed, you can expect to hear Forsworn warriors wax lyrical about the plight of their people, and Thalmor justiciars say some fairly rude things about other Elder Scrolls races.

During battles, you can now expect both to comment on things like your character’s race between axe swings, cry out if you dish out a killing blow to one of their buddies or brutally roast you if they manage to best the mighty Dragonborn.

The mod is also compatible with two similar JaySerpa mods, ‘Bandit Lines Expansion’ and the aforementioned ‘Civil War Lines Expansion’, with both of these adding a few more lines to the pool included in this latest mod.
