Modders have put a lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the eleven years since it was first released into the world.
These efforts have brought everything from destructible furniture to dynamically-learning NPCs and even destination weddings to the game, helping ensure that, on PC at least, it always has something fresh to offer both new and returning players.
A new mod taking the Skyrim Nexus by storm definitely fits the category of things you won’t have seen before, turning all of the game’s giants into everyone’s favourite A-Team member, in a move that almost rivals the infamous Oblivion pizza order mod on the absurdity scale.
Are you looking forward to being sent flying by Mr T’s club in Skyrim?
The mod in question is called ‘Giants Pity The Fool’, and is the work of modder audhol. Their previous work is equally amusing, having injected the spirit of the Carry On films into the game.
This time, they’ve helped make Skyrim’s space program even more surreal, by ensuring that the creatures sending you or your followers hurtling towards the cosmos will be dispensing one liners as they do so.
The mod does this by offering giants a makeover that’ll leave them resembling Mr T, complete with mohawk, sunglasses (courtesy of bedendo and bombbird2003’s ‘Rayban-like Sunglasses SE’) and a cute little pouch emblazoned with the words ‘pity the fool’, as you can see in the video below.
While these changes naturally aren’t very lore-friendly, they also don’t entirely compromise the mysterious charm of the game’s vanilla giants.
After all, instead of asking ‘Are these creatures genetically related to the Nords in some way?’, you can simply change your line of questioning to ‘How in the name of Talos did these creatures get access to 80s television?’
