The dust (or sand) has not yet settled since the release of Insomniac and Sony's highly-anticipated Spider-Man 2, but that doesn't mean the hype train can't continue its breakneck pace. A video has surfaced on a popular X, formerly Twitter, account indicating that there might be some additional content on the way featuring the beloved Marvel character, Daredevil.
In a tweet by @CabooseEK, a content creator with over 650,000 subscribers, a video emerged showing an easter egg from Spider-Man 2 in the form of a hidden room in the back of a bookstore. The room and the subsequent building have multiple instances of the same symbol, which many fans are suggesting is the symbol of The Hand.
The Hand is a ninja order that serves a demon referred to as the Beast and specialises in assassination. Daredevil himself, along with fellow Marvel persona Elektra, have both been heavily involved with the Hand throughout their storied history in comics. Whether Elektra will be involved in a future DLC is yet to be seen, but many fans are focussing their speculation on the involvement of Daredevil in additional content.
It would not be a great surprise to fans if some additional content were added to Spider-Man 2 after the majority of the player base has had a playthrough of the game. While Spider-Man Miles Morales lacked any DLCs, the original Spidey game had some great extra missions to work through and Insomniac is anticipated to follow this trend. The original Peter Parker game had three total DLCs post-launch, so there will be high hopes that this is just the beginning of some extensions to the core game's narrative
Given they've put a very telling clue about another character in the Marvel universe in their game, it would be a bigger shock not to see some involvement from Daredevil soon. Until then, there's still time to clear New York City of its endless supply of villains that threaten to ruin Miles and Peter's next trip to Coney Island.
