Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases in just a few days and Insomniac has already addressed one of the sequel’s complaints. Leaked footage of one of Spider-Man’s best costumes initially looked rough when images of the suit made the rounds, but the devs has since fixed the gorgeous movie outfit.

The suit in question is Andrew Garfield’s iconic costume from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. When the suit was first leaked, many fans criticised it, as the web stripes were lacking in detail and the suit’s red color looked faded.

With the sequel coming out soon, Insomniac has already updated the game to make sure that the TASM2 suit looks better. Fans noticed the improvement on the game’s official subreddit, showing that the developer does take fan feedback seriously.

There are still some issues with the AMS2 suit. For example, the suit’s gorgeous 3D webbing has been reduced to a flat texture. Nevertheless, it’s a worthwhile addition to Insomniac’s superhero adventure.

Andrew Garfield’s TASM2 suit was a heavily-requested costume that didn’t make its way to the first game, dominating mod downloads for a while. It’s good to see Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 rectify that and even improve on it since the suit initially looked rushed.

Some could argue that the game was leaked and the suit would have been fixed when the typical Day One patch came. No one will ever really know why the suit looked funky, but we’re just glad that it looks great and will easily be one of the most used costumes in the game.

Having the best Spider-Man movie costume is only one of the reasons why fans are excited to pick this title up. The various trailers have done a good job of drip-feeding information on what to expect from this PS5 exclusive, including the debut of Mysterio in this universe.

It’s hard to be disappointed with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, as the game looks like a monumental improvement over an already great game. Sure, some of the redesigned characters aren’t for everyone, but it at least shows some growth for them from a visual standpoint.
