The recent Insomniac Games leak has confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is a reality, with supposed plans to release it sometime in 2028. We now know a good amount of details that are planned for the sequel, so fans hoping to go in blind should probably read something else.
Last warning, here are the supposed details that are coming to the next Spider-Man game.
So, according to the massive Insomniac leaks, there’s a good chance that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could end up being a two-parter. Originally, the plan was to release it as one game but there’s a chance that they release this in two parts, given how massive the story supposedly is.
As many fans have expected, it appears that the Green Goblin is going to be the main bad guy for this installment. We’ve had hints at Norman Osborn becoming the Goblin since the very first Spider-Man game, so this is a result of good worldbuilding.
Interestingly, the leak also reveals that Cindy Moon will be a playable character in the third game, after her introduction in Spider-Man 2. Fans of the comics know that Cindy Moon is Silk, a superhero who was bit by the same spider that gave Peter Parker his powers. Cindy will have a different origin in this universe, which is just fine.
Hopefully, Insomniac Games can rebound from this leak and they can eventually announce Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 in the future. It’s a true shame that they were attacked like this since a lot of people’s lives might be in danger. This isn’t just cool video game leaks after all, as plenty of employee information was also revealed, so players need to realize that.
Right now, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available on the PlayStation 5 and it’s a pretty great game. Honestly, it’s one reason to own a PlayStation 5, so fans who haven’t experienced these games yet should get one.
