The Insomniac leak is a massive one, revealing a ton of major games that will be coming out in the next couple of years, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. While it’s not exactly a surprise, the leak has confirmed that a third game starring the web-slinger is scheduled for release in a few years.
According to the major leak (via the Gaming Leaks subreddit), which fans can find in various places, the third game in Insomniac’s first Marvel series is scheduled for a late 2027 or 2028 release. Considering how the second title just came out, with hints that DLC is underway, this is a pretty speedy process.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could be a major departure for the series, as Insomniac has said that Miles Morales will be the lead character now. Granted, that doesn’t mean Peter Parker won’t have a starring role, but it seems that Miles will be the primary focus.
Fans have even more Spider-Man-related content coming their way, as Spider-Man 2 Online has also been leaked. No one knows just how this game is supposed to have online multiplayer, though most of us are assuming that the Spider-Verse is involved, somehow.
It’s not just Miles and Peter having adventures either, as the leak also confirmed that a Venom game is coming out in 2025. Gamers had a brief taste of the character while playing the sequel, so expanding on that with better mechanics would be a winning formula. Having Venom and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 released a couple of years apart also shows that fans will keep getting spider content.
Honestly, the Insomniac leak was a terrible one, as it’s not just gaming information that was shared, but also data of the employees. While observing what the company has planned for the future is fun, this leak is far from a noble cause and we hope nothing else major like this happens.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is coming out sometime in 2027 or 2028, presumably on PS5 unless a PS6 is planned. Fans can get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PS5 now, with a PC port likely coming soon.
