For those who’ve invested thousands of hours into the likes of Skyrim and Fallout 4, the release of Starfield can’t come soon enough.
Regardless of how you feel about the prospects of Bethesda's venture into space, the idea of being able to delve into a freshly curated game filled with stories, quests and characters has RPG lovers of all stripes intrigued.
Currently, some of the game’s most hyped-up would-be players are trying to let off some of that excitement by discussing which of its main HUB cities they’re going to explore first.
“If you kids can't keep your speculation to yourselves, I'm gonna turn this ship around and there'll be no Neon for anybody!”
The thread containing these plans on the Starfield subreddit began with a post from user derekgr, who kicked things off by sharing some promo screenshots of the game’s metropolises and asking their peers: “Which main city are you most excited to visit?”
The resulting thread saw plenty of representation for all three of the cities Bethesda have revealed to be in the game thus far.
For example, user smitch90 declared: “I'm looking forward to Neon. Love that it's above the water. Can't wait to explore that planet and city.”, while Famlightyear said of the same city: “I love the Cyberpunk aesthetic” and Allaroundlost suggested that it might offer some opportunities for underwater exploration.
On the other hand, SaucyPower3 said: “I definitely want to visit Akila City. That place has that space western/frontier vibes.”, to which whoisbuckey responded: “It really reminds me of the first city you visit in The Outer Worlds.”
Meanwhile, users Far_Vehicle_1520 and Fercho48 gave New Atlantis some love, with the latter suggesting that they’ve been doing a lot of speculating about the home of the United Colonies.
Meanwhile, user i_take_no_bologna stumbled into the thread and declared from underneath their blindfold: “I have done my best to learn basically nothing about this game and do my best to forget about it until release. So the city one.”
