Stellar Blade is a game that’s being made for a very specific audience and the developers are more than aware of it, based on what we’ve seen. Players are going to be looking at protagonist Eve’s booty for a long time and the devs made sure to make it as appealing as possible for us pervs.
Hyung-Tae Kim, the game’s director, spoke with GamesRadar about the PS5 exclusive, where he then explained the “special attention” put into her rump. Because this is a third-person hack-and-slash title, players are going to be looking at her backside for most of the game, so they made sure to give it the attention it deserves.
"When it comes to the design, we put special attention on the back of the character because the player is always facing the back of the character when they're playing," Kim said. "That's what they see the most of, so we thought this was pretty important."
Fans who dig the amount of fanservice in Stellar Blade won’t be surprised to know that developer Shift Up also worked on Goddess of Victory: Nikke. If you don’t obsess over anime girls like this writer, Nikke is a gacha game that’s packed to the brim with bootylicious fanservice. The mobile app even featured 2B from Nier: Automata, who has also been blessed with a well-shaped behind.
As we mentioned before, it does feel like Stellar Blade is a throwback to the PS3 era, where developers were hoping sexy women would sell their mediocre games. To play devil’s advocate for a bit, Shift Up’s PS5 exclusive does have some decent-looking combat, and fans might keep playing the game for it. While some gamers might roll their eyes at all of the lewd imagery, the actual gameplay might redeem this product in the end.

Stellar Blade will be coming out on April 26 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, though it would probably do better on PC if we’re being honest.
