Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been plagued with issues since its announcement, including backlash to its live-service elements and story leaks. Interestingly enough, a leaker has gone out of their way to say that some of the game’s supposed story leaks are fake.
Miller Ross, who previously leaked details about Killer Croc and other DLC characters, has said that a major 4Chan leak about the game is fake. Ross specifically said “Let me just say definitively: This isn’t real,” so it seems that fans are still in for quite a few surprises.
Granted, Ross did say details like Waller blowing up your bomb if you walk away from objectives are true but felt they were easy enough to guess. Other Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League details like the Flashpoint protocol and major character deaths are fake, at least according to Ross.
As the post states, this 4Chan leak was quite the talking point amongst DC fans, since it seemed like something the company would do at that point. The reliance on violence and shocking deaths does reek of early New 52 DC, though the company’s stance has seemingly changed over time.
It will be interesting to see how the story of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can support a live-service system. You can only Kill the Justice League so many times, but Warner Bros. did promise more content for the future. Hopefully, this is a story worthy of the Arkham games, since Kill the Justice League takes place in the same continuity.
Kill the Justice League has been controversial since the first gameplay trailer, which led to an immediate delay after a ton of complaints. Recent gameplay trailers have made fans a bit more optimistic about the release, though some of them wrongfully thought these were leftovers from an abandoned Superman game.
