Following rumours about a "movie tie-in" with The Matrix Resurrections, Unreal Engine has now officially announced "The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine Experience" for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
A video teaser of the new "experience" was posted on Twitter, which is described as "a glimpse into the future of interactive storytelling and entertainment" using Unreal Engine 5. Those who want to try it may now register with the link given, which you can access here.

The Matrix Resurrections is out in cinemas this month and to potentially coincide with that, a rumoured "movie tie-in" on PlayStation 5 has reportedly leaked online.
Eurogamer reports that this leak came from Reddit u/the_andshrew, who posted a link redirecting to an image of a poster showing the title that reads as "The Matrix Awakens, An Unreal Engine 5 Experience." We've only got minimal information alongside this image, though numerous database entry numbers are also present.

The Matrix Rumoured To Get An "Unreal Engine 5 Experience" According To New Leak
Though nothing's been officially confirmed right now, it'd seem that Epic Games has helped engineer a new collaboration project. Given that it's a few weeks before The Matrix Resurrections launches, this move could be a marketing tactic for the upcoming film, one which also showcases Unreal Engine 5's capabilities.
