It's been known for some time that The Wolf Among Us 2 was in development following the miraculous return of Telltale Games. Even though the developers have slowly been releasing information about the game, some more substantial story and setting details have surfaced about the game via the latest issue of Game Informer.
According to known industry figure shinobi602, the current issue of Game Informer includes some pretty juicy details about this highly anticipated sequel. The biggest revelation is that The Wolf Among Us 2 will be set in New York, during the winter, roughly six months after the events of the original game.

Other than the details mentioned previously, shinobi602 also relayed that the sequel is still in full production. The developers have just finished the script and motion capture work is ongoing. Clearly then, there's still much work to be done before the game can be considered finished.
Even though this game looks like it'll be in development for a long time, the Unreal Engine has been confirmed to help speed up the game's visual development. This game engine has been confirmed to streamline its development.
As of now, Telltale Games have yet to reveal a definite release date for this game. The developers have also confirmed that the game is made with one full season in mind rather than releasing the game episodically.
The original Wolf Among Us game ended on a pretty spectacular cliffhanger, but we imagine that despite the six-month gap we'll be picking up the pieces of the first game along with Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown.
