Troy Baker, the voice of many iconic gaming characters, has pulled out from making NFTs. Having controversially announced several weeks ago that he'd be working with VoiceVerseNFT, the famous actor is dropping this partnership after “careful consideration.”
On Twitter, Baker thanked his fans for being patient and understanding with him. The popular voice actor also apologized for his “you can hate or create” line that drew ire from many, stating that he shouldn’t have accused anyone of “hating” for simply disagreeing with his choices.

Troy Baker Cancels NFT Plans With VoiceVerse
Baker is not the only video game figure who's shown interest in NFTs, as major publishers have embraced these controversial items. Konami made Castlevania NFTs to celebrate the franchise’s recent anniversary, Square Enix has shown interest in them, and Ubisoft are still going ahead with their initiative, despite poor sales.
Aside from voicing Joel Miller in The Last of Us and Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, Baker most recently lent his voice in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Netflix’s DOTA: Dragon’s Blood anime. We'll keep you informed with further updates.
