Ubisoft Next-Gen Games Cost The Same As Current-Gen This Holiday
Ubisoft has announced that their next-gen games will cost the same as current-gen games this coming holiday.
The CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot said in a Q1 call with investors that next-gen games will stay at the same price point as they currently are throughout the holidays.
So you can expect games like Far Cry 6 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla to be with the £50-£60 price range.
“For the Christmas games, we plan to come with the same price as the previous generation of consoles,” he stated “That’s what we’re focused on at the moment,” (Source: GI.biz).
There was no mention of whether or not prices will inflate after the holidays but there's a chance this will be a reality.
This is in contrast to 2K, with the publisher recently confirming that the next-generation versions of its popular NBA 2K franchise will retail higher than their current-gen counterparts.
