An invisible Warzone skin is ruining matches before the annual Halloween festivities get underway, much to the annoyance of players.
The Season 6 Reloaded update for Warzone is right around the corner and to celebrate the spooky season, the Halloween event contains plenty of content ranging from skins to jumpscares that suddenly appear when players open one of several supply boxes on the map.
Before the battle royale switches to a Halloween theme, those dropping into the action have noticed an Operator skin that's capable of turning those using it invisible, giving them a huge advantage when attempting to become the last one standing.
Spotted by user DelicianoLopez, the player took to Reddit to share their displeasure at being left unable to see a nearby enemy during the final stages of a Vondel match.
Judging by the comments, there are plenty of other frustrated fans growing tired of players spending CoD Points to get their hands on an advantage.
One player says: "It's insane to me that people just hop between different pay-to-win skins for any minor advantage. The game can't just be about how well you performed, it also has to be about making yourself more difficult to see or shoot."
According to the most recent patch notes, Raven Software adjusted the Gaia skin in a bid to make it more visible. Despite this, it's still extremely difficult to see in darker areas of the map.
This isn't the first instance of Warzone skins being impossible to see during the heat of battle. During the Verdansk and Caldera eras, the notorious all-black Roze skin skyrocketed in popularity after making players vanish. The developers were quick to resolve the issue, so there's hope Groot becomes much easier to see in the not-too-distant future.
For now, it's best to check every corner with flash grenades just in case anyone using the Gaia skin has managed to blend into the surrounding area.
