With many long-term lovers of The Witcher 3 deciding to return to the game in order to check out last month’s next-gen update, the streets of The Continent are bustling with more life than they’ve seen in a good while.

Those jumping back into the body of the white wolf on PC might have noticed that a lot of uber-popular mods are starting to receive the necessary updates to work with the newest version of the game.

In addition to updating these must-have mods, modders have also been hard at work creating original works around the fresh content added by the update, such as its armours and medallions, with one having decided to cater to those who just want a chance to relinquish control and take in The Continent’s beauty.

Do you sometimes wish monster slaying gave you a bit more time to relax and smell the flowers?

The mod in question is called ‘Immersive Exploration’ and is the work of modder menschfeind13, whose previous work has brought a bit more stealth and magic to Geralt’s arsenal of abilities.

This time, they’ve decided to help those playing via keyboard and mouse to engage auto-movement by double tapping their walk toggle key, allowing you to set Geralt off in a particular direction and relax.

Well, actually, you might want to make sure that you don’t fall asleep or get too engrossed in examining the minutiae of ray-traced plants, as you’ll probably have to intervene with the odd key press in order to change the direction the white wolf’s heading in.

After all, it might ruin your zen state if you’re suddenly attacked by wolves or drowners out of the blue after stumbling into their territory by accident.

Luckily, the mod allows you to control the speed at which Geralt will be strolling, striding or running by holding the sprint key and scrolling the wheel on your mouse, making it possible to slow things right down if you’re heading into an area you’re not sure of.

Also, it’s worth keeping an eye on menschfeind13’s work if you prefer to navigate The Continent via controller, as it looks like they might add support for gamepads to the mod at some point in the future.
