With many long-term lovers of The Witcher 3 deciding to return to the game in order to check out December’s next-gen update, the streets of The Continent have been bustling with more life than they’ve seen in a good while for the past couple of months.

Those jumping back into the body of the white wolf on PC might have noticed that a lot of uber-popular mods that’ve been out for a little while are starting to receive fresh updates.

In addition, a lot of fresh works based around the content added by the update, such as its ray-traced environments, medallions, and armours have been popping up recently. If you’re a big fan of the Netflix-inspired Forgotten Wolf School Gear, a new mod might be worth adding to your load order.

Feel like there’s a little something missing from your Henry Cavill cosplay?

The mod in question is called ‘Netflix Season 2 Strap Restored Cut-Content’ and is the work of modder 18mic11, whose previous work has added a professional witcher’s tool belt to Geralt’s default armour and given him the chance to dress up like Cyberpunk 2077’s V.

This time, they’ve dug into the game files of the next-gen version of The Witcher 3, found a mesh for a strap belt that seemingly didn’t make it onto the final version of the update’s Forgotten Wolven armour set and managed to restore it to working order.

The belt, which looks to connect the chest piece of the set's grandmaster variant to a thigh pad containing some potion bottles on the same variant’s trousers, is easy to miss and won’t show up if you team either of those two armour pieces with opposing garments from other armour sets, though it is a nice immersive touch.

If you’re wondering how it might have ended up as cut content, 18mic11 has had a go at explaining what they think happened based on what they found in the game files, outlining that pants in the game have different versions depending upon what you equip alongside them and concluding that the Netflix armour may have accidentally been assigned too few alternate versions to match the number that had actually been created for it.

Regardless of whether this is actually what transpired, the belt is now back in the lives of players who fancy adopting the sleek, black set for their next monster contract.
