In a post on their official X/Twitter account, Xbox said "Honoring a true legend. We’ve added a new dynamic dashboard background featuring Xbox 360's Blue Dragon, with art and character designs by Akira Toriyama."

In order to use the new background, go to My Games & Apps > Apps > Settings > General > Personalization to download the background. Scroll to the Blue Dragon background and apply it.

The background was released in honour of the legendary artist Akira Toriyama who passed on March 1, 2024. Thousands of fans worldwide gathered online to mourn his death and pay tribute to his legacy.

His passing was announced on the official Dragon Ball website in a joint statement from Bird Studio and Capsule Corporation Tokyo.

It read, "We are deeply saddened to inform you that Manga creator Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st due to acute subdural hematoma. He was in age of 68."
