In a move that’s going to make Switch owners very happy, both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will be getting Switch 2 versions. A number of Switch games are going to get upgraded versions for the new system, making all of them feel new again. Fans can even buy the physical releases if they want a fancy new box.

The only negative aspect about these Zelda Switch 2 editions is that fans will have to pay extra to enjoy these new features. Much like Sony with their recent PlayStation upgrades, fans will pay for these upgrades in order to get better resolution and framerate. While disappointing, it’s not the most shocking move.

Both Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are amazing games, so seeing them look better is going to be wild. The fact that these titles are going to have an improved framerate is also a huge deal since fans were used to the consistent 30 FPS these open-world games had. Needless to say, this could feel like a new experience for everyone involved.

Hilariously, there’s going to be an exclusive “Zelda Notes” feature on the NSO app that will be exclusive to the Switch 2 versions. It should make going through these massive maps a lot easier, so fans will enjoy this. Naturally, no one really asked for this feature, but the company needs to justify that price tag with more than just visual differences.

Fans who want to get a Switch 2 can officially pre-order one through here.
