With the release of Tears of the Kingdom just over a week away, Legend of Zelda fans are desperately counting down the days until they can take to the picturesque plains of Hyrule again.
Unfortunately for those who were hoping to go in having seen as little of what the game has to offer beforehand, large swaths of it have recently leaked, making avoiding spoilers quite difficult for those who still want to chat about the game with their fellow Nintendo stans.
If you’re desperately trying to dodge pre-release info about the new game and have run out of Breath of the Wild challenge runs to watch and aesthetic debates to have, you might want to join the growing group of fans gawking at the latest terrifying edit of hench Ganondorf.
Are you going to have to spend the remaining time until Tears of the Kingdom drops trying to forget you ever saw hairless Ganondorf?
This unnerving makeover forms the subject of a recent thread on the subreddit r/zelda, in which it was posted by user CornyFace, who shared a beardless and bald version of the Gerudo warlock and revealed: “My friend saw somebody steal Ganondorf's chin, so he shaved his head as well.”
Naturally, the sight of Ganon’s bare bonce triggered some polarised reactions from the Zelda faithful, with user radiiationzzz declaring: “He's so beautiful.” and painapol_r simply responding: “Art”.
On the other side of the coin, Luminoose lamented: “He looks like a damn thumb.” Gengumain02 said of CornyFace’s friend’s handwork: “Bro shaved off his cranium too,” and KatiePyroStyle asked: “Why are y'all doing this man so dirty? OMG.”
Sadly for those already starting to feel sorry for Hyrule’s premiere baddie, user MAARP88 commanded somebody to “get rid of his eyebrows” too, a wish SL1NDER was all too happy to grant, sharing their creation with the words: “It is done.”
While user Andro451’s additional request to “get rid of his tattoos, then the muscles, then the gold, and (he’ll just be) your average person.” hasn’t been acted upon as of yet, who knows what further horrors Ganondorf will be subjected to before he can get his revenge on May 12.
