With Tears of the Kingdom now having arrived, most Legend of Zelda fans have spent the majority of the past week and a bit relentlessly exploring the picturesque plains of Hyrule.
Regardless of how you chose to pass the time while waiting for Nintendo’s latest release to drop or what you’ve thought of its overall experience so far, odds are the array of fuse-compatible items and interesting activities on offer will keep you entertained for a good while.
Though some have been busy cowering from Gloom Hands, lots of Zelda players seem to have been dedicating their time with the game so far to building and sharing interesting contraptions, with one of the latest being the stuff of Korok nightmares.
Do you fancy decimating Tears of the Kingdom’s enemies using a deadly spinning contraption?
The latest cool creation from the community that's already constructed the likes of Hylian Segways and working lawnmowers was posted by user TactfulHonk on the subreddit r/HyruleEngineering.
“(This is the) Multi-Spinner Mark one, putting the shrine motor to good use. We (got) Beyblades now,” they said of the deadly device, which rampages around the battlefield via a stabiliser-free spinning motion that relies on centrifugal force to keep the spiked instrument of destruction upright.
“Most (of its) damage is (caused by) ranged electricity from the water spray and melee smashing from the spikes,” they explained, in response to a comment asking how effective the fire attacks of the contraption are, continuing: “The frost helps quite a lot immobilise enemies so the spinner can catch up, and the fire is largely situational for elemental weaknesses and to counterbalance the frost emitter.”
They also added: “I did try putting Beam Emitters on, but in practice it was just a hilarious suicide machine in that mode, unless you're behind heavy cover.”
