August 13, 2022: Ganyu is getting another rerun. Prepare with the materials below, and you'll max her out on day one.

Looking for a full list of Genshin Impact Ganyu materials before she arrives for her rerun? The secretary of the Liyue Qixing is still one of the most powerful damage-dealers in Genshin Impact, so it's no wonder you'd want to pick her up as part of her latest banner. But even the lowliest character requires a truckload of materials and Mora to ascend.

With that in mind, we've created a list of Ganyu materials and where you can find them. We also offer some tips for speeding up your farming process by utilising the godsend that is Condensed Resin, as well as an explanation of respawn times for certain items you'll need.

If you're looking to grab the Geo Archon instead, we have a Genshin Impact Zhongli materials guide as well. For more Genshin Impact goodness, either check out our hub there, or read up on new characters like Collei and the upcoming Tighnari now that we know more about their abilities.

Here are all of the Ganyu materials you'll need to ascend her fully and to level one of her talents straight away.

To level Ganyu to level 90 when you get her, you'll need all of the following level up materials:

You'll also need character EXP materials like Adventurer's Experience or Hero's Wit to do the actual leveling. A good way to get these is to complete Blossoms of Revelation (blue) Ley Line Outcrops. Avoid using condensed resin to double your rewards, though. The monsters drop useful materials, so a few more fights will go a long way.

Where to farm Genshin Impact Ganyu materials

Here, we'll tell you where to get each material, plus some tips for farming Ganyu materials quickly.

Shivada Jade and Hoarfrost Cores

This is the primary Cryo character ascension material, foraged primarily from the Cryo Hypostasis in Dragonspine. However, you'll want to fight the Cryo Regisvine in Mondstadt to also get the Hoarfrost Cores you need.

The Cryo Regisvine is a much easier boss to farm with any Pyro damage-dealer. And given Genshin bosses respawn after a few minutes if you're far enough away, it's a quick and easy process to beat it, collect the loot, teleport away, and then return.

A good trick I've found is logging out in the boss arena, then when you next play, you'll get a quick farm.

Qingxins

It's weird to me that Ganyu's ascension material isn't Glaze Lillies, but she also has a taste for these white flowers—since she's a goat, I guess. You can find them all across Liyue, and pinpoint their exact locations with the official Genshin Impact map.

In particular, there are lots of Qingxins scattered across Jueyun Karst, and a high density of them around Qingce Village. If you want a quick farm, those are the areas you'll want to frequent.

You can also buy ten of them every couple of days from the Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue Harbor. There are 99 overall, so you just need a couple of partial farm runs and some purchases from Bubu to get what you need.

Diligence items

These scroll materials come from the Taishan Mansion Domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. If you want to speed things up, you can use Condensed Resin to claim two lots of rewards at once.

You can craft this at the Alchemy Bench once you get the Condensed Resin formula by gaining level three reputation in Liyue, though you'll need some of the Crystal Cores that you get from Crystalflies around caves and Statues of the Seven.

The best thing about Condensed Resin is you can use it to convert your daily resin into an item for future use, meaning it's perfect for days when you can't be bothered to repeat things more times than you really need to.

Whopperflower items

The Whopperflower is a pretty common enemy. You can their nectar variants by defeating them on higher world levels. If you're struggling to find one, head to the adventurer's handbook and select it in the enemies list to be given the location of one. A better method is to do the Blossoms of Wealth and Wisdom in Mondstadt to earn Mora or EXP materials while also fighting Whopperflowers.

Just don't use Condensed Resin on these. You want to fight, and using Condensed Resin to double the Leyline rewards means you'll fight half the monsters in the long-term, which obviously means fewer Whopperflow items for Ganyu.

Shadow of the Warrior

This weekly boss material comes from fighting Childe in the Trounce Domain. You'll have to get near the end of the Liyue Archon quest to unlock him. Once you do, you can fight him frequently for rewards. If you don't get the Shadow of the Warrior, you can use Dream Solvent to craft it out of any of Childe's other boss materials at the Alchemy Bench in major cities.

Crown of Insight

There are a limited number of crowns in Teyvat, and can only be earned through upgrading the Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine and Sacred Sakura in Inazuma. The only other way is to get them is by taking part in certain seasonal events like 'Fleeting Colours in Flight' in the current version.

Mora

One of the universal Genshin Impact Ganyu materials is Mora. It makes the world go round, and ascension costs are some of the steepest: especially for talents. The best ways to get a little Mora is to do the Blossoms of Wealth and use Condensed Resin to get double rewards. This saves you time. And we all know that time is money.

Also, keep an eye out for the Ley Line Overflow event that sometimes occurs towards the end of each version. The battle pass is another great source of Mora. As are chests.

You can also often get free Mora from miHoYo's web events and giveaways, which we have a list of over in our Genshin Impact codes guide. And if you haven't already, go loot the big chests in the Liyue Harbor bank for a few hundred thousand Mora. It's robbery, but nobody seems to care.
