A Gotham Knights playtest was recently spotted on Steam by a couple of fans, before being quickly taken down. While Gotham Knights will allow for solo play, the game has plenty of multiplayer opportunities and is likely why an online playtest is needed.
A post on Reddit about this supposed Gotham Knights playtest (thanks GamesRadar) was taken down because it was “considered spam,” while PCGN claims that it was played by at least one user before getting removed. Judging by this swift action, it’s clear this playtest wasn’t meant for the public eye and was likely meant for the game’s developers.
Gotham Knights Playtest Briefly Appeared on Steam
There’s still plenty of mystery surrounding Gotham Knights, as the game currently doesn’t have a release date. While the game is supposedly slated for a 2022 release, the lack of gameplay during DC’s Fandome did lead to some concerned players about this project’s upcoming release.
Gotham Knights is expected to launch this year for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. We’ll keep you all up to date on any news regarding Gotham Knights. In the meantime, a TV adaptation for Gotham Knights has also been confirmed, and you can find more about that here.
