Since time immemorial, GTA Online has been home to an intense war between hardworking grinders, whose lust for money has led them to dedicate thousands of hours to the game’s businesses and heists, and the malevolent griefers who enjoy killing them.
During the course of this conflict, key battles have been fought at every opportunity, many of which have seen the grifters come out victorious thanks to the power of the Oppressor Mark 2.
However, now it seems that, even though some of those who’ve long been oppressed by the flying motorcycle and its missiles have found a vehicle that can be an even more deadly equaliser when used adeptly, things still aren’t plain sailing.
GTA Online Player’s Use of Toreador Against Griefers Sparks Suspicion
Posting in the GTA Online subreddit, user Norcal_Stang shared an image of their Pegassi Toreador, a car added by the Cayo Perico Heist update which has several tricks up its sleeve, saying: “In three hours of playing, I blew up 14 oppressor griefers. Thanks Rockstar for not giving the Toreador a special map icon!”
User EnglishMuffin420 also declared their love for the vehicle, saying: “I heavily underrated the toreador for a long time”, while Danwallbeats added: “They need to release the oppressor livery for the toreador already”.
On the other hand, several users were suspicious that the number of kills racked up by Norcal_Stang in such a short time might mean that they were in fact the griefer in the situation.
User OlFattyLumpkin directly asserted this, saying: “I don’t mean to sound like a dick because there’s probably more info here but…this 100% makes you sound like the griefer”, prompting Norcal_Stang to reply: “I should clarify and say that they were griefing the majority of the lobby when I went after them.”
They went into further detail in response to a similar accusation from user i_lyke_turtlez, saying: “I’m talking about staring at my mini map and seeing notifications of the same guys on oppressors killing low level new (players). When they kill them more than 3 times then I (enable) ghost organisation and go after them.”
Meanwhile, user x_EEVEELUTIONS_x addressed the original post by suggesting that a unique map icon may originally have been planned for the Toreador but didn’t make it into the released version of the update.
