When it comes to making money fast in GTA Online, you can't go wrong with a good old-fashioned Heist. Of course, when it comes to undertaking a heist there are lots of factors to consider, which all impact the maximum possible payout you can achieve.
With regards to the Diamond Casino & Resort Heist, there's also one other thing to factor in. Diamonds.
How To Get Diamonds in GTA Online Casino Heist?
You see one of the game's most profitable commodities to steal during heists (outside of the Cayo Perico Panther Statue) is Diamonds. These shiny gems pay out wildly more money compared to the likes of Cash, Artwork or Gold. Below you can see how much more Diamonds payout compared to other everything else:
- Cash: $2,115,000
- Artwork: $2,350,000
- Gold: $2,585,000
- Diamonds: $3,619,000
The big issue with Diamonds is that they're not always available as a reward from the vault underneath the casino.
They're a limited-time reward, meaning Rockstar will routinely add them and remove them as they please. This normally happens following the release of a new event week, when the GTA Online Weekly Update occurs on a Thursday. For instance, Rockstar once decided to put them back in the game just for the Valentines themed event week. Even then, it's still not guaranteed that you'll get Diamonds in the Diamond Casino Heist.

According to Grand Theft Auto expert, TezFunz2, there's approximately a 15% chance of Diamonds spawning within the Casino vault. So even when Diamonds are available it's still quite likely that you will end up with Gold, artwork or plain old Cash in the vault. Sometimes when they're reintroduced, Rockstar will ensure you always get Diamonds on your first run, but this isn't a gimme. In the event they don't, here are the % values as per TezFunz2:
- Cash - ~37%
- Artwork - ~28%
- Gold - ~18%
- Diamonds - ~15%
How to get guaranteed Diamonds in GTA Online Casino Heist
Strictly speaking, there's no "guaranteed" way to get diamonds in GTA Online's Casino Heist. That's because they first need to be accessible from Rockstar. However, when Rockstar does decide to add Diamonds into the loot pool, there is a way to ensure you maximise your chances of getting Diamonds when running the Casino Heist.
First off though, you need to make sure you have completed the heist in the three different ways before this method works. So you must do 'Stealthy' 'The Big Con', and 'Aggressive'.
The trick effectively involves cancelling the heist as soon as you discover the contents of the vault. There's a slightly convoluted process but it involves discounting your internet to leave the lobby and when you spawn back in it should re-roll the contents of the vault. This way you also avoid constantly paying $25,000 each time you cancel.
