July 26, 2023 - We've collected information about the Diablo 4 Shrines and effects.

The Diablo 4 Shrines provide your character with powerful boosts, albeit temporarily. While they're randomly scattered throughout the overworld map and in dungeons, activating one can help turn the tide of battle.

Our Diablo 4 Shrines guide discusses the types that you can encounter, as well as their notable effects once you interact with them.

All Diablo 4 Shrine types and their effects - Guide

There are currently seven types of Diablo 4 Shrines that you'll commonly encounter while exploring the world of Sanctuary. Below, we'll cover their effects and how they boost your character.

Channeling Shrine

The Channeling Shrine has a powerful boon: unlimited mana/resource. Basically, once you activate one, you can cast any type of ability that you have. It will not consume your primary resource throughout the duration. This means you can practically spam your strongest abilities without worrying about running out of mana, essence, and the like.

Protection Shrine

The Protection Shrine might have the most boring purpose, but it's a lifesaver. While the buff lasts, you're completely invulnerable to all types of damage. The only thing that can actually take you out would be a random internet disconnection or power outage.

You'll be completely immune to all damage, thanks to the Protection Shrine.

Greed Shrine

As the name implies, the Greed Shrine is for those who really like to get their hands on gold. Throughout its duration, any hit inflicted on an enemy will cause it to drop gold.

Conduit Shrine

This Diablo 4 Shrine has a rather nifty function in that it turns you into a ball of pure energy. What's cooler is that it also changes all your action buttons/hotkeys into pure lightning attacks regardless of the spell you're using.

As such, if you target any enemy or object, you can press any of your action buttons, and your character will instantly zip-and-zap. You'll zip to that location to zap your target to death.

Artillery Shrine

The Diablo 4 Artillery Shrine might be one of the best out there, especially if you have a lot of minions. Basically, any cast you do will create a projectile that fans outward. This is also done by every single friendly minion or ally. As such, Necromancers can expect "bullet hell" moments from a single action.

Although Diablo 4 is considered an action role-playing game (ARPG), the Artillery Shrine turns it into a bullet hell shmup.

Lethal Shrine

The Lethal Shrine ups the ante when it comes to damage. It greatly increases your crit rate, crit damage, and overpower damage. While active, you can expect huge orange and blue numbers to pop up on your screen, signifying a boost to your offensive capabilities.

Blast Wave Shrine

Lastly, there's the Blast Wave Shrine. For a short period of time, you'll notice that your character is surrounded by a whirling aura. After a couple of seconds, an explosion occurs that damages all nearby foes.

And there you have it. These are the Diablo 4 Shrines that you'll come across while journeying in this massive world. Diablo 4 is available via Battle.net. For more information about the game, you can visit our Diablo 4 guides hub.
